Review: Room Eighteen

Hubby got some discount vouchers from Room Eighteen so we thought of trying it out since the prices were really cheap. Once we reached the restaurant, we were quickly ushered to an empty table in a quiet corner… nice ^.^

We were offered a bowl of titbits which cost RM3… it’s up to us if we want it or not. Honestly, it’s a good appetizer.

Egg congee and steam roll set. Tantalizing taste, both were soft and smooth… yummy to the last bite with the exception of the sauce for the steam roll… it’s just oyster sauce. I had expected better since it’s an exclusive Chinese restaurant and under the Tai Thong umbrella.

Watermelon and Aloe Vera with ice shavings thingy, forgot the actual name… not too sweet yet soothing and cooling.

Their infamous Xiao Long Bao! An unique concoction… one bite and the gravy inside oozes out! The minced meat inside was soft and a little bland, tasted great with the gravy.

We also had hot chocolate and coffee with milk.

Our total bill was RM29.25 inclusive of 6% government tax and 10% service tax… a huge discount if you asked me. The usual price, without vouchers, could have been easily more than RM50! Totally worth it with our stomachs filled up to the brim! The waiters were efficient too and didn’t mind us having discount vouchers… serving us promptly without giving us double standards. The ambience was soothing with dimmed lightings, a nice place for family dinners.
