National Science Center

Now, finally had some time to sort out the photos from last Wednesday’s outing. I will separate it into 3 posts or it will be super duper long! Our itinerary was:

  1. National Science Center
  2. Tron Legacy
  3. iCity

We had breakfast at Kanna Curry House in Section 17 as my angels love the roti canai there… they also used banana leaves instead of plates ^.^

After breakfast, we headed to the National Science Center, Bukit Kiara KL. They were showcasing Dinos Alive! from 1/12/10 to 31/5/11, 9am – 5pm daily.

Surprisingly, it was totally crowded for a Wednesday! The total admission charge for 2 adults, 2 kids and 1 senior citizen was RM30 which was quite reasonable.

Once inside, we were greeted by fishes!

All the science experiments were at Level 1, Wonderspark and Pathway to Science sections. Quite a lot of sections were not ready yet, still under construction… what a waste. In fact, throughout the trip, quite a number of the experiments were spoilt too which was quite disappointing. Furthermore, it was overly crowded so we only managed to try a few experiments.

The dinosaurs were at Level 2 with the exception of 2 big ones at the Atrium, a 16 feet Tyrannosaurus and a 23 feet Apatosaurus. Throughout the displays, it reminded me of the movie Jurassic Park. I think they practically copied it from that movie!

We were done within 2 hours. Nothing else to see or experiment. For me, they should have more activities related to science which will make the overall experience better. Like Malacca Planetarium where they had activities which was fun and exciting, we also learnt more there.
